Cherry Press on the Road Again: Linocut Printmaking at I Love Art Space in West Dover, Vermont

on Sun, 04/13/2025 - 19:27

I am excited to announce a linocut class I am teaching at the beautiful I Love Art Space at 171 Route 100 North, West Dover, Vermont on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 from 1-4 pm

Learn to cut a linoleum block and make multiple prints on paper!  Linocut printmaking is a fun and simple way to create your own relief prints.  Once you have carved a block, it can be used again and again.

In this class, we will cover the basics: image preparation and transfer methods, sharpening and care of tools, carving methods, paper and ink preparation, color-mixing, rolling out ink with brayers, registration

We're moving!

Summer Projects

on Wed, 01/26/2022 - 22:14

This summer I have been working on some exciting collaborative printing projects, including a screen print with the delightful Farhad Mirza...stay tuned!  Over this continued period of chosen quiet time (classes are on hold while the pandemic pervades), I've also renovated the studio downstairs darkroom/ litho graining area and taken a long and interesting trip down memory lane while re-organizing the flat files!  Lots of rabbits around this summer, this one likes to visit outside the studio windows and has come back since with its baby rabbit.
