Screen Printing: Hand-drawn Images, Text & Stencils - Sunday, October 19th. 1-5 pm

Create single-color screenprints using hand drawn/painted images and text and stencils! In this class you will learn how to coat a screen with light-sensitive emulsion, make light-opaque hand-drawn films and stencils, expose your screen, wash it out and print on paper with non-toxic, water-soluble ink.

Come prepared with images and/or text to trace onto film or work spontaneously. You are welcome to bring pre-cut stencils as long as the material is flat and completely opaque (blocks the light). Please keep in mind we will be printing in one color. We will pack a lot of processes into a short amount of time, so keep your designs simple for this first experience.

Screenprinting is fun, but messy. Bring an apron and/or clothing you don’t mind getting inky.

Materials are included in the price of the class.
